The pre-wire window

There is a window during every build, after framing and before drywall, when cable can be run anywhere for a fraction of what it costs later. Miss it, and every future wire has to be fished through finished walls or surface-mounted.

What to run

Structured cabling to every camera, access point, display, speaker, and control location; conduit for future flexibility; and the backbone for networking, surveillance, audio, and automation. Running generously now is far cheaper than adding later.
